epiphanies

i watched 2 shows today:

1) The trial of Saddam Hussein

2) Telephone recordings of 9/11

From the shows i gathered two new thoughts about life.

Firstly, the idea of capital punishment and its differing schools of thought. My main question on this issue being whether the state should have the power to take someone's life just because he has taken someone's. What difference does it make, aren't both parties murderers?

Secondly i am once again reminded about the fragility of life and our inability to predict what might happen at any moment to rob us from the ones we love. Its truly scary, and it just amplifies my views on treasuring every moment you have with the ones you love and stop harping and dwelling on the unhappy things. (except those that concern 流沙包s)

so to those that still read this blog, i guess i mean something to you and i just want to say, no matter what has happened or what might happen, i love you. ♥
